The VHSL-Reference Preseason State Champions Watch List has included 85% of all state champions since 2000,
including the champion in 5 of the 6 divisions correctly the last 5 years, and all of the state champions from 2011.

The criteria for this list is the teams prior year performance; typically in the season prior to their state championship teams lose 2 or fewer games ,
are ranked in the top 5 in their division, score 69% or more of their games points and most likely have won a state championship before.

The lists below most likely include the 2011 state champions, to see previous years watch lists click on the year above.
The lists are sorted by the teams final 2010 rating and are not necessarily in 2011 predicted order.
